The CFA Institute Research Foundation celebrated their 50th anniversary with a forum hosted at the New York Society of Security Analysts. The theme of the evening was the future of investment research. There were two panel discussions followed by the presentation of the Vertin Award to Frank Fabozzi for his lifetime contribution to investment research.

The first panel discussion, moderated by Larry Siegel, addressed the evolution of investment research and focused on the current developments of the financial industry and topics that need to be researched to enable investment professionals to make better decisions. The second panel discussion, moderated by Jason Zweig, tackled the current state of the investment profession and how it can provide added value in the future.
