For the seventh year I volunteered to photograph BRAKING AIDS Ride, the three-day, 285-mile AIDS ride from Boston to New York to benefit Housing Works‘s lifesaving services for low-income men and women living with HIV/AIDS. I followed about 100 riders and volunteer crew members the entire way shooting both from the ground and from a moving car (I wasn’t driving!).

This is the first post in a series on this incredibly successful event that raised more than $260,000.
