For the third time I was invited to photograph the annual reception and parents tour of the New York Simulation Center for the Health Sciences (NYSIM). A joint venture of NYU Langone Medical Center and the City University of New York, the high-tech facility is housed at Bellevue Medical Center. Sophisticated mannequins that can sweat, cry, cough, and even vomit are used to train medical students and emergency responders.
After a welcome reception, NYU School of Medicine students and their parents were lead on tours of the facility. Everyone had an entertaining and informative time interacting with the mannequins and each other.
