In November, I served as second shooter for my colleague Steven Rosen at a wedding at the Landmark Loew’s Jersey Theatre in Jersey City, New Jersey. The faded glory of the opulent theatre was perfect for the old-time Hollywood-themed wedding. The ceremony took place on stage with theatrical lighting and equipment and props set to look like a chaotic backstage during a production. The reception was held in the gilded lobby with a 10-piece band and catering from a vegan food truck parked outside. It was a unique wedding and a lot of fun. For formal portraits, I spent most of the time assisting Steven with lighting and setting up equipment. At other times I got to shoot, for instance when he was working with the bride as she prepared, I work with the groom, and we both shot the ceremony and reception from different angles.
