Last year I enjoyed photographing the New York City Veterans Day Parade. I was excited to return this year. It fell on a Monday, and I had a lot of work to do, so I planned to go for just an hour at lunchtime. Luckily my studio is only a few blocks from the beginning of the parade. After an hour of making some photos, nothing really interesting had happened, and I needed to return to work. I remember last year’s parade moved swiftly and continuously, but not this time. I hope the boredom of the marchers standing and waiting to move a few feet at a time doesn’t show in the photos.
