Financial education is at the heart of the mission of the Museum of American Finance. For more than 20 years, educators from around the country have been bringing students to the Museum to help them understand how finance impacts their daily lives. In 2010, the Museum founded its Center for Financial Education, which offers 10 classroom experiences taught by trained Museum educators and market professionals.
I had the pleasure of photographing a scavenger hunt and a classroom lecture for a group of students from an elementary school in Brooklyn. It was amazing to see how the Museum staff made the topics of financial history and money fascinating to the children. I admit that during the classroom lecture, I wanted to put down the camera and participate in the class.
