At lease once in his career, almost every photographer gets invited to a wedding and is casually asked if he could “bring his camera and take a few pictures.” Of course this means the couple is hoping a full professional job. I thought I was off the hook for this one, because the couple hired a local photographer for their wedding at the Virginia Hotel in Cape May, New Jersey. However, they asked me to photograph the rehearsal dinner the night before at Congress Hall and the post-ceremony luncheon after the hired photographer left. I couldn’t say no to these friends, so I agreed, and here are some of the results.
