Portrait of a White Swan

My previous post on the Potomac Dance Centre focused on the overall dress rehearsal for their spring recital. Here I present photos of my niece’s performance in the roll of the White Swan in an abridged version of Swan Lake.

The photo directly below became one of my favorites after I learned the story behind the situation. My niece teaches ballet to some of the youngest students at the Dance Centre. The girls in the wings are her pupils, and I find the gesture of the girl in front to be particularly touching.
