New York Simulation Center for the Health Sciences

I had the unique opportunity to photograph the dedication of the New York Simulation Center for the Health Sciences (NYSIM). A joint venture of NYU Langone Medical Center and the City University of New York, the high-tech facility is housed at Bellevue Medical Center. Sophisticated mannequins that can sweat, cry, cough, and even vomit are used to train emergency responders for any kind of disaster.

The dedication consisted of facility tours before and after a brief set of speeches by NYSIM dignitaries. It was a true pleasure to photograph this event. The facility is amazing and filled with beautiful natural and artificial light. Both the mannequins and the humans cooperated with me and my camera.
