I’ve had the opportunity to photograph numerous events for clients around New York City. Here’s a sample of photos from three recent events. The photo above is from the 75th birthday party of the founder of the Museum of American Finance, held at the Museum. Originally I was invited as a guest, but I was asked to photograph the party at the last minute. So with a camera in one hand and an hors d’oeuvre in the other, I worked at capturing the spirit of the evening.
This photo is from the retirement party for the executive director of the Metropolitan New York Library Council. The party was held in the organization’s favorite local restaurant, which was very narrow and very yellow. There was wonderful late-afternoon natural light pouring in from a window in the front which I blended with my flash.
This is a shot of the executive director of the Religious Institute giving a speech at a service at the Union Theological Seminary. The event was part of the Institute’s 10th anniversary celebration.
