We did it! Braking the Cycle, the 300-mile, 3-day bike ride from Boston to New York (September 24-26, 2010) raised $318,000 for the HIV/AIDS services of the LGBT Community Center in Manhattan. Over the past seven years I worked on the support crew once, I rode four times, and this year and last I volunteered as event photographer. I accompanied 125 riders up and down killer hills and through some really beautiful countryside throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York. The photo above captures the accomplishment of two riders at the summit of the toughest hill on the ride. To see all my photos from the three days and closing ceremony, check out the website I created for the riders and crew at www.alanbarnettphoto.com/BTC10/home.html.
