Point of View at Gallery 125

My photograph, “Incident,” has been accepted into the all-media group show, “Point of View,” at Gallery 125 in Trenton, NJ. The show opens on November 13 and runs through February 6, 2010. The 18 x 12 inch archival pigment print is matted and framed at 16 x 20 inches and retails for $250.00.

I made this photo at the Tate Modern in London during my vacation this past summer. I shot it about five stories up, through a plate glass window, in extremely low light. It’s one of those decisive moment photos, as the scene below me was constantly changing. The space was vast and not occupied by an exhibit at the time. Children and adults were using it as a playground. It’s interesting how when empty, a space is just a space. But put at least one person in it and it becomes a theater, whether or not the occupants know they’re being observed.
